Attorney-Optional Divorce Mediation
Divorce doesn't always require two attorneys.
If you and your spouse are willing to work together, mediation can provide a more affordable, respectful alternative to traditional divorce litigation. Whether you're considering a pre-suit divorce, a pro se (self-represented) divorce, or an uncontested divorce, mediation helps you resolve the important decisions before filing with the court.
At Perspective Mediation, I guide couples through discussions involving parenting plans, time-sharing, child support, property division, finances, and other key issues, helping you create practical agreements tailored to your family's unique needs.
Many couples choose an attorney-optional approach—completing mediation first and then deciding whether to have an independent attorney review their final agreement before filing. This provides the flexibility to obtain legal advice if desired while often avoiding the expense of traditional litigation.
Benefits of Mediation
Lower overall legal costs
Reduce conflict and stress
Maintain control over your decisions
Resolve issues more efficiently
Create customized agreements
Focus on your family's future—not courtroom battles
As a neutral family mediator, I do not provide legal advice or represent either party. Each participant is encouraged to seek independent legal counsel at any stage of the process if legal advice or document review is desired.
WHY CHOOSE PERSPECTIVE MEDIATION?
Choosing a family mediator is an important decision. While every Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator completes specialized mediation training, my experience extends beyond mediation certification. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I have spent years helping individuals, couples, and families navigate relationship challenges, communication barriers, conflict, and major life transitions.
Family conflict is rarely just about the issues being discussed. Separation, divorce, parenting disagreements, and other life transitions often involve strong emotions, long-standing communication patterns, and complex family dynamics.
My background allows me to recognize these underlying dynamics while remaining a completely neutral and impartial mediator. Rather than taking sides or providing therapy, I facilitate productive conversations that help families communicate more effectively, explore solutions, and work toward practical, lasting agreements.
